Get involved - Goods needed

The Durbanville Children’s Home manages different projects to receive goods in order to save on our expenses. We gladly receive food, second hand clothes, furniture and equipment.

Our friendly receptionist will assist you and record your donations. Please complete our registration form so we can thank you for your support as well as for recording purposes. Please note our reception opening hours:

  • Weekdays: 7am - 7pm
  • Saturdays: 8am - 6pm
  • Sundays: 9am - 7pm

Giving goods requested from our needs list

We understand that some people prefer giving goods and items that we need on a daily basis above a financial contribution.  We truly appreciate any good will towards our children, and would encourage you to make a difference in a way you feel comfortable with.

Therefore we have a needs list that is updated monthly by the staff to ensure the items we ask for are directly in line with our most urgent needs, for example school uniforms and stationary in the beginning of a school year, fun items when the holidays are around the corner or jumpers and socks when winter is lurking.

Kindly click here to download our most recent needs list in Word.
