Sponsor a Child

The biggest challenge for a charity, such as The Durbanville Children’s Home, is cash flow. We urge you to consider making a monthly contribution of R100 and help us improve our service delivery to children in need.

Skill Development

Our residential and therapeutic programme does not stop the day our young people turn 18 years of age as we have a holistic community bridging initiative in place. We believe that our children deserve every opportunity to succeed in life.

We believe that education gives vulnerable children the opportunity to overcome restrictions of poverty because it is a fundamental step to freedom.

We are asking you to collaborate with us to offer our children a safe and happy environment that offers warmth and support.

General Goods

The cost of goods has a huge impact on our annual budget expenditure. For the individual or corporate, this is an excellent opportunity to donate something tangible.

Books & Charity Shop

The Durbanville Children’s Home Charity shop is situated on the premises of the Home and sells a wide variety of pre-loved clothes, shoes and jewellery, as well as bric-n-brac and other interesting finds at affordable prices.

Financial Contributions

The Durbanville Children’s Home receives a government subsidy of 30% and therefore relies heavily on donors for funds and donations. The support and therapeutic services we provide are very labour-intensive which makes it very costly.

Leave a legacy

This is a unique way to extend your beliefs and hopes for the future beyond your own lifetime and perhaps even to make a more substantial contribution than at present.

Volunteers are the lifeblood of Durbanville Children’s Home. They are indispensable for the implementation of all the Home’s programmes in order to ensure the best possible care for the children.
